If today’s reality is a result of yesterday’s thoughts, then perhaps you should pay a little more attention to what you focus on today. Are you spending all day worrying about what tomorrow will bring? Those fantasies are shaping what will come.
When you worry you actively create images of your worst nightmares – you vividly imagine everything that you do not want to happen. You practice the vibration of feeling awful over and over again. Not only does it feel terrible as you do it, but it is setting the vibrational pattern for the days to come.
“If you have fear of some pain or suffering, you should examine whether there is anything you can do about it. If you can, then there is no need to worry about it; if you cannot do anything, then there is also no need to worry.” – Dalai Lama
What can you do to stop you self from worrying?
You can catch yourself worrying and realize that you can do something about it:
Take action. If there is an impulse to act, then listen to it. That impulse may be to take an action, to change something, or to stop doing something. Your Soul is always providing guidance. It is up to you to listen to the impulse, trust in yourself, and follow your heart. When you see a potential issue to worry about, but also an insight on what you can do about it – listen to the insight.
You catch yourself worrying and realize that you cannot do something about it:
Change your perspective. If you have no power or control over a situation, then take comfort in the fact that you always have power and control over your thoughts. Allow yourself to feel the upset, have compassion for your fear and worry, and then look for a new perspective. The way that we view our circumstance is directly related to the way we experience our life. How would your soul look at this situation?
Stop worrying about what you don’t want to happen and start praying for what you want. Spend time focusing upon your dreams and then create a plan to get from where you are to where you want to be. You have the power to accomplish great things when you get your mind and heart aligned.
