I recently came across a quote that read “The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and …”
It got me thinking. What is the most important day of my life? What day held that life changing moment? Can I point to one moment in time more powerful than all the others?
I could only find one suitable answer – today.
Today is the most important day in my life. While today may not be the day I say I do, bring a life into the world, release a book, or face a tragedy, it is the day that holds all of my power and all of the potential to change my life.
All significant things happen today. And all of the seemingly insignificant todays lead up to one of those significant todays. Without the decisions that you make today, there are no opportunities for those grand moments of new beginnings or completions.
Your power is in this moment and the choices that you make about what you are going to do right now. You have a choice. Are you going to watch a movie or take 90 minutes to work on your dream – whatever that may be.
If you adopt the philosophy that today is the most important day of your life, what would you do differently? If this is the day that changes everything, what decision would you have to make?
The only day that truly counts is today because this is the only day that you can actually live. Grab the reins and create what you want your life to look like. This moment is a building block for all your future creations. Stop wishing and start constructing. Today leads to your tomorrows.
So tell me, how do you want to live the most important day of your life?
