I have been going through a process of shifting from the acquisition of knowledge into the embodying and living of the principles that I believe in. True wisdom comes from living the things that you know to be true. It is not enough to have knowledge – you have to walk your talk.
This shift is challenging. It takes discipline and commitment when you decide to change your life. It takes some effort to get the momentum flowing in a new direction. Once the ball starts to roll it becomes more exhilarating as you see the ripple effect throughout your life. Your understanding continues to deepen as you allow yourself to truly experience life.
What is one thing that you know would improve your life or make you happier? Are you doing it? What would it take to make that happen? How can you embody that knowledge to transform it into the wisdom that will lead you to true fulfillment?
It could be starting, and maintaining, a mediation practice.
Maybe you know that you would feel better with less sugar in your diet or more sleep every night.
Could your finances use a little TLC and structure – like a new budget?
Often we know what we could change in our lives to make the change that we desire. It is getting over the hump in the beginning that is a challenge. You have to work through the resistance to break through to the place where you reap the benefits of taking action. You deserve to move toward your goals – so love yourself enough to commit to being the change that you are hoping to make in your life.
Choose one thing that you would like to work on. Commit to that shift – however big or small – for the next month. Make your happiness a priority.
